This run has perfectly illustrated the old maxim “no plan survives first contact with the enemy”.
The team followed the traditional Shadowrunner handbook of spending a great deal of time carrying out “legwork”, all of which immediately proved useless once they actually begin the extraction attempt.
I’m only surprised this doesn’t happen more often.
It happens all the time. But good legwork always bears a little fruit no matter how the plan disintegrates. As bad as the Barghests are, at least they knew enough to be afraid. As opposed to the dogs just rounding the corner and the team ignoring them until it’s too late.
Gah! Cliff Hanger!
I thought for sure the team was going to be destroyed by the dogs, then Kit steps up 🙂
The first and only time I’ve been able to use that critter power to our advantage!
